The UK Direct Dial portal allows UK callers to make great value long distance calls without having to purchase calling cards.
How to use the Direct Dial Portal
- Call the Comms-Lab Direct Dial Portal on 0844 414 5812.
There's no need to enter any credit card numbers, calling card numbers or PINs etc.
- Enter your destination number
Include the 00 and the country code so for China you'd enter: 0086, for the U.S. you'd enter 001 etc. End your destination number with the '#' key (The American pound sign).
- That's it! Your are now through to your international destination.
- All calls are charged at just 5 pence per minute from a land line - thats little more than the cost of a peak national call with BT.

Instead of calling the traditional Local Access Number and entering a calling card number and PIN (Personal Identification Number), you call an 0844 number instead. You effectively pay for your international calls through your traditional phone bill safe in the knowledge that you will only ever be charged 5 pence a minute from a standard BT line. Calls from mobile networks may vary. Once you've dialled the 0844 portal number you can then proceed to call your International destination number.
